How many times is regular evaluation conducted in grade 9 Literature curriculum in Vietnam?
According to Article 6 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT:
Regular Evaluation
- Regular evaluation is conducted through: question and answer, writing, presentation, practical work, experiment, academic product.
- For a subject, each student is assessed multiple times, selecting some assessments appropriate to the teaching plan of the professional group, and recording the results in the student evaluation record (by class) for use in evaluating academic results as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 9 of this Circular, as follows:
a) For subjects evaluated by comments (not including learning project clusters): each semester selects 02 (two) times.
b) For subjects evaluated by a combination of comments and scores (not including learning project clusters), select the number of regular evaluation scores (hereinafter abbreviated as DDGtx) each semester as follows:
- Subjects with 35 periods/year: 02 DDGtx.
- Subjects with over 35 periods/year up to 70 periods/year: 03 DDGtx.
- Subjects with over 70 periods/year: 04 DDGtx.
....
Thus, for a subject, each student is evaluated multiple times. Since the grade 9 literature subject has over 70 periods/year, there are 4 regular evaluations.
What are the requirements for evaluating grade 9 students in Vietnam?
According to Article 4 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for evaluating grade 9 students include:
- Evaluation based on the requirements set out in the General Education Curriculum.
- Evaluation must ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness, fairness, honesty, and objectivity.
- Evaluation by various methods, forms, techniques, and tools; combining regular and periodic evaluations.
- Evaluation for the progress of students; emphasizing motivation and encouragement in students' efforts in practice and learning; not comparing students with each other.
