Based on Subsection 8, Section 1 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH in 2024, student guidance is as follows:

8. Enrollment confirmation:

- For candidates admitted through direct admission, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm enrollment on the System (those who have confirmed enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering for admission preferences unless permitted by the head of the training institution not to enroll). If enrollment is not confirmed, candidates can continue to register for admission preferences on the System or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates for training institutions to consider. If admitted, candidates will confirm enrollment according to the general schedule;

- No later than 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete online enrollment confirmation for the first round on the System.

Candidates will confirm their university enrollment upon receiving notification of the first-round admission deadline, which is 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024.

Once candidates confirm enrollment on the Ministry's System, the status of the admission preference information will change to "Enrolled," meaning the candidate has successfully confirmed enrollment, and the school has received the enrollment confirmation information.

Therefore, candidates who have confirmed enrollment but wish to cancel must contact the university.

Can the training institution in Vietnam reject a candidate who is unable to confirm enrollment due to illness or injury?

According to Article 21 of the University Admission Regulations, Enrollment in Early Childhood Education College, issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations for notification of results and enrollment confirmation are as follows:

Notification of Results and Enrollment Confirmation

1. The training institution sends an admission notice to the admitted candidates, specifying the necessary procedures for enrollment and the candidates' enrollment methods.

2. Candidates confirm enrollment online on the system before enrolling at the training institution.

3. For candidates who do not confirm enrollment within the specified time:

a) If there is no legitimate reason, it is considered that the candidate declines enrollment, and the training institution has the right not to accept them;

b) If due to illness, accident, with a confirmation from a district-level hospital or higher or due to a natural disaster with confirmation from the district-level People's Committee or higher, the training institution will consider accepting the candidate or reserving the admission result for later enrollment;

c) If due to an error or mistake by the admission officer or the individual candidate, the training institution will proactively cooperate with the relevant individuals or organizations to review the evidence and decide on accepting the candidate or reserving the admission result for later enrollment.

4. Candidates who have confirmed enrollment at one institution are not allowed to participate in admission at other institutions or subsequent admission rounds unless permitted by the training institution.

Therefore, if a candidate cannot confirm enrollment within the specified time due to illness with a confirmation from a district-level hospital or higher, the training institution will not reject the candidate.

The training institution will consider accepting the candidate or reserving the admission result for later enrollment.

Can a candidate in Vietnam who was admitted in the first round but did not confirm enrollment apply in additional admissions?

According to Article 22 of the University Admission Regulations, Enrollment in Early Childhood Education College, issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations for organizing registration and additional admissions are as follows:

Organization of Registration and Admission for Additional Admissions

1. Based on the enrollment quota and the number of admitted candidates who have confirmed enrollment into the majors, training programs, the enrollment council of the training institution will review and decide on admission for the additional admissions. The training institution will announce the admission plan, admission methods, and registration forms for additional admissions; and the admission conditions for each major and training program by each admission method but not lower than the previous round's admission conditions.

2. Candidates who have not been admitted or were admitted but have not confirmed enrollment at any institution can register for additional admissions according to the training institution's plan and guidelines.

3. At the end of each admission round, the training institution will announce on the electronic information page the admission scores (and additional conditions and criteria if any) for each major and training program by each admission method; organize for candidates to check their individual admission results; send an admission notice and instructions for admitted candidates to enroll.

Thus, candidates who were admitted in the first round but did not confirm enrollment can apply for additional admissions.
