What are the rules for the 2024 Environment Protection Drawing Contest in schools in Vietnam?
(1) Participants:
Vietnamese children aged 6 to 10 (primary students) studying at primary schools, children's palaces, youth activity centers, and residential areas nationwide; foreign children living and studying in Vietnam.
(2) Contest Content:
The Environment Protection Drawing Contest in Schools with the theme “Green School” includes the following content:
- Students draw based on the theme “Green School” expressing their feelings, thoughts, wishes, and aspirations about a healthy and harmonious natural environment as well as the necessary actions to achieve a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful environment.
- The painting should clearly express the “Green School” theme of the contest.
- A clear, concise, and coherent message should be inscribed on the back of the submitted artwork.
(3) Conditions for Submission:
* General Conditions
- The painting must be created by the student alone, not in groups, and should not replicate paintings that have participated or won in other contests...
- The submitted paintings must not have been displayed, exhibited, or published in any forms of media, books, or magazines.
- The painting's author and guardian are fully responsible for copyright and liability if there is any copyright dispute.
- The organization committee is not responsible for any paintings lost in transit.
- The jury panel has the final decision on the winning paintings.
- All contest submissions are not returned to the authors and will fall under the copyright of the organization. The organization has the right to sell or auction the entries to fund environmental activities and use author details, images, and contest entries for media purposes without needing author consent or compensation.
Note: Invalid submissions:
- Submissions made by two or more people.
- Copied paintings or those that violate copyright.
- Missing contestant information, incorrect theme, or do not meet specified sizes.
- Submissions sent after the contest deadline (postmarked).
* Presentation Format
- Paintings should be done on A3-sized drawing paper.
- Paintings can be created using any choice of colors such as pencils, watercolors, pastels, oil paints, watercolors, colored pens, or other materials.
- Artwork must clearly express three elements: Message, Uniqueness, and Artistic Quality. Among these, message and uniqueness, creativity are prioritized.
- Message: The artwork vividly reflects the child’s dream about a green house in their imagination, conveying a message of ecological consciousness in a modern green lifestyle.
- Uniqueness, Creativity: The artwork displays creativity, novelty, and uniqueness regarding the theme without adult intervention in concept and execution.
- Artistic Quality: The artwork should be balanced and harmonious in composition, color, and technique.
* Submission Portfolio
- Each individual can submit up to 02 paintings along with a description of their concept.
- All contest entries must include the full name, date of birth, school, class, school address, home address, and phone numbers (of parents or representatives of Youth Houses, Centers…) on the back of the painting.
- Entries that do not comply with the rules will be disqualified, and the organization is not obliged to resolve related complaints.
(3) Award Structure:
The contest's award structure includes:
- 07 First Prizes: Each prize 5 million VND
- 10 Second Prizes: Each prize 3 million VND
- 15 Third Prizes: Each prize 2 million VND
- 20 Fourth Prizes: Each prize 1 million VND
- 50 Promising, 50 Impressive, 50 Passionate Prizes: Each receives a Certificate and gifts from the organizers
