Regulations on means of transporting tourists by road according to Article 6 of Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT are as follows:
- Automobiles must ensure regulations on quality, technical safety, and environmental protection according to the provisions of the law.
- Automobiles must be equipped with a trip monitoring device, according to regulations.
- Automobiles must be fully posted with information according to regulations, and next to the bed there must be a sign instructing passengers on traffic safety and emergency exits in case of an incident, according to the regulations of the Minister of Transport.
- Automobiles transporting tourists must ensure the following interiors and amenities:
+ Automobiles with fewer than 09 seats must have equipment including: air conditioning, beverage containers, first aid medical equipment, spare medicine bags, emergency escape tools, and the name and phone number of the vehicle owner located behind the driver's seat;
+ Automobiles from 09 seats to less than 24 seats, in addition to the provisions in Point a of this Clause, must also be equipped with: sun protection curtains, safety instructions, trash bins;
+ For Automobiles with 24 seats or more (except specialised caravan Automobiles), in addition to the provisions in Point b of Clause 4 of Article 6 of Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT, there must also be additional microphones and luggage storage for tourists; there are positions for the elderly and people with disabilities according to regulations.
Regulations for means of transporting tourists by inland waterways according to Article 7 of Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT are as follows:
- Vehicles must ensure technical safety and environmental protection according to regulations.
- Vehicles must have automatic identification devices - AIS installed when operating on routes from shore to islands or between islands, according to the provisions of the law.
- Equip a sufficient number of buoys and life jackets for tourists on board.
- Inland waterway vehicles transporting tourists must ensure the following interiors and amenities:
+ For vehicles from 12 seats to 20 seats, they must be equipped with: Instructions for the use of life-saving and rescue equipment and the phone numbers and addresses of search and rescue agencies are placed at the passenger's seat; There is a tour itinerary chart; there are beverage containers; Recycle bin.
+ For vehicles from 20 seats to 50 seats, in addition to the provisions in Point a, Clause 4, Article 7 of Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT, they must also be equipped with: sun protection equipment, a microphone; medicine cabinets; and first aid and rescue tools according to the list prescribed by the Ministry of Health; The food service area and processing area (if any) must meet the requirements according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health and ensure fire and explosion prevention and safety regulations.
+ For vehicles with over 50 seats or more, in addition to the provisions in Point b of Clause 4, Article 7, Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT must be equipped with awnings, sun-protective curtains, air conditioning or cooling fans corresponding to the number of tourists transported; toilet.
- For tourist accommodation ships, comply with Government - l regulations.
Regulations for service staff on road tourist transport vehicles according to Article 4 of Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT are as follows:
- Service staff on tourist transport Automobiles must be trained on professional skills and legal regulations for transport business activities, according to the regulations of the Minister of Transport.
- Service staff on Automobiles transporting tourists must be trained in tourism skills by the transport business unit.
