List of 29 criteria for monitoring and evaluation in agriculture in Vietnam from February 20, 2025

On December 24, 2024, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 24/2024/QD-TTg regulating the set of indicators for monitoring and evaluating agriculture, farmers, and rural areas.

List of 29 criteria for monitoring and evaluation in agriculture in Vietnam from February 20, 2025

In Appendix I issued under Decision 24/2024/QD-TTg in 2024, the Prime Minister of Vietnam provides a list of 29 indicators for monitoring and evaluating agriculture in Vietnam, including:

- The proportion of employed labor in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries compared to total employment in the economy

- The rate of labor in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries that has undergone formal training with degrees and certificates

- The growth rate of export value in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries

- The growth rate of added value in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries

- Labor productivity in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries

- Total societal investment capital in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries

- Number of enterprises and establishments processing agricultural, forestry, and fishery products

- Number of agricultural enterprises recognized as high-tech application enterprises

- Number of agricultural cooperatives

- Average revenue of agricultural cooperatives

- Number of farms

- Average value of products and services from farms

- Number of cooperative groups

- Percentage of agricultural, forestry, and fishery product value produced through cooperative and linkages forms

- Number of households and individual economic labor in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries

- Area of forest certified for sustainable management

- Forest coverage ratio

- Ratio of area of marine and coastal protected zones compared to the natural area of the national coastal region

- Ratio of agricultural production land achieving efficiency and sustainability

- Ratio of agricultural production land applying water-saving irrigation technology

- Ratio of crop areas fully mechanized

- Area of crops certified for good agricultural practices (VietGAP) and equivalent

- Percentage of livestock establishments certified for good livestock practices (VietGAHP) and equivalent

- Area of aquaculture certified for good aquaculture practices (VietGAP) and equivalent

- Number of OCOP products recognized at 3-star level or higher

- Area of degraded land

- Area of polluted land

- Total greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, forestry, and land use sectors

- Methane emissions from crop cultivation and livestock farming
