Hanoi-Vietnam: Women will receive 2 million VND after childbirth

Joint Circular 07/2016/TTLT-BYT-BTC-BLDTBXH elaborates on Decree 39/2015/ND-CP on childbirth benefits received by women being ethnic minorities in poor households upon childbirth in accordance with population policies in Vietnam.

To receive assistance under the above policy, women being ethnic minorities in poor households in Vietnam must prepare the following documents:

- The application form for financial assistance upon childbirth in accordance with population policies in Vietnam, using Form 01, issued together with the Circular.

- A certified copy or a photocopy accompanying the original for comparison of the following documents proving the status of the applicant:

+ Marriage registration certificate for Kinh people with a husband who is an ethnic minority;

+ Conclusion of the Medical Assessment Council for the case of having a third child, if they have already had two biological children, but one or both children, have birth defects or suffer from serious diseases that are not hereditary.

Relatives of the applicant shall complete the declaration if the beneficiary of the policy has died or is illiterate, has weak health, and cannot make the declaration themselves.

The assistance amount will be 2 million VND/person and will be directly granted to the applicant.

Joint Circular 07/2016/TTLT-BYT-BTC-BLDTBXH takes effect from May 30, 2016.
