Preservation and Maintenance of Communication Devices and Firefighting Command Tools (Illustrative Image)

Circular 52/2014/TT-BCA specifies in detail the preservation and maintenance of communication devices and firefighting command tools. Specifically: routine maintenance, post-fire and fire drill maintenance, and periodic maintenance as follows:

1. Routine Maintenance

- For handheld radios: Turn off the device; use a soft cloth to clean parts such as the body, antenna, channel switch, volume control knob, function keys, and antenna; Remove the battery from the radio and use a soft cloth to clean the battery contacts and the contact poles on the device; Check the battery contacts with the charging base to ensure normal charging; After cleaning, reattach the antenna, insert the battery into the device, and switch on the power to resume normal operation;

- For fixed radios (25-50w) installed on vehicles: Check the power connector at the battery terminal, ensure stable contact; Check the antenna to avoid contact with the vehicle body; Check the operation of the power switch and battery for the radio, ensure a stable power supply;

- For cabinets housing digital signal detectors and other equipment: Clean the inside and outside of the cabinet; always close the front, rear, and bottom covers of the cabinet; Check the power supply socket contact, replace if loose.

2. Post-Fire and Fire Drill Maintenance

- Turn off the handheld radios;

- Remove the battery, antenna, and headset, and clean with a soft cloth;

- Clean the device body and battery contact points, and charge the radio batteries.

3. Periodic Maintenance

- Annually, perform maintenance once a year.

- Preservation and Maintenance:

- For central reception and transmission stations: Measure transmission power and reception sensitivity to meet technical standards; measure grounding resistance;- For antenna poles: Check guy wires, antenna pole misalignment; check the appropriate angle of the antenna, address any new obstructions;- For fixed radios (25-50w) installed on vehicles: Check and measure transmission power and reception sensitivity to meet technical standards; check the entire power supply section of the device; test communication range;- For handheld radios: Check and measure transmission power and reception sensitivity to meet technical standards; check and measure battery capacity for handheld radios; test communication range;- For ACU-T/ACU-1000 multi-network link devices: Check cable connector contacts; check and test hardware devices to connect to DSP, PSTN, HSP-2 networks; test multi-network connections.
