Who Has the Authority to Issue the Physical Education Curriculum?

According to current regulations, the Physical Education curriculum is part of the general education, vocational education, and university education programs; the content of physical education is part of the preschool education program. It depicts physical education objectives; it prescribes the knowledge and skills standards, the scope and structure of physical education content, the methods and forms of organizing physical education activities, and methods of assessing physical education subject results at each educational level or training level.

As stipulated in Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 11/2015/ND-CP, the authority to issue the Physical Education curriculum includes:

- The Minister of Education and Training issues the Physical Education curriculum under the general education program and the physical education content under the preschool education program;

- The Directors of universities, academies, and Rectors of universities are responsible for developing, appraising, and issuing the institution's training programs, including the Physical Education curriculum, as prescribed by the Minister of Education and Training;

- The Rectors of colleges and secondary schools are responsible for developing, appraising, and issuing the institution's training programs, including the Physical Education curriculum, as prescribed by the Head of the central agency managing vocational education.
