What are methods for implementing display and video signal testing ports in Vietnam?

Circular 08/2018/TT-BTTTT has been issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam on the National Technical Regulation on electromagnetic compatibility for multimedia equipment - Emission requirements. This document takes effect from July 1, 2019.

The implementation of display and video signal testing ports in Vietnam is performed using the methods listed in the table below:

Complexity Level Displayed Image Description Examples of Equipment
4 (highest) Color bars with animated image elements Standard color bar image with small moving elements. Digital television receivers, set-top boxes, personal computers, DVD devices, video game consoles, standalone monitors
3 Color bars Standard color bar image. Analog television receivers, camera display screens, image printer display screens
2 Text images If possible, a text image sample containing all the H characters must be displayed. Character, size, and number of characters per line must be set to show the maximum number of characters on the screen. If the screen supports text scrolling, the text must be scrolled. POS terminals, computer terminals without graphics functions
1 (lowest) Typical display screen The most complex display screen that the EUT can generate EUT with proprietary display screens and/or is unable to display any of the above images, electronic music keyboards, telephones
