Recently, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP regarding the technical ranking for pilots and crew members in the Vietnam People's Army Force.
Vietnam: What are the standards of aerial reconnaissance patrollers of all ranks? (Illustration image)
Article 13 of Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP stipulates the standards of Rank 3 aerial mechanics and aerial reconnaissance patrollers for aircraft for transport or patrol in Vietnam as follows:
- Qualifications in aviation technical skills and task performance capability:
+ Be an aerial mechanic and aerial reconnaissance patroller;
+ Perform tasks according to the duties assigned related to the provisions mentioned in point b, clause 1, Article 10 of Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP.
- Flight hour norm:
+ Total accumulated flight hours for aerial mechanics ≥ 550 hours, for aerial reconnaissance patrols ≥ 400 hours;
+ Accumulated flight hours on current aircraft for the members of the converted flight crew ≥ 100 hours.
Additionally, Article 14 of Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP also stipulates the standards of Rank 2 aerial mechanics and aerial reconnaissance patrollers for aircraft for transport or patrol in Vietnam as follows:
- Qualifications in aviation technical skills and task performance capability:
+ Be a Rank 3 aerial mechanic and aerial reconnaissance patroller;
+ Perform tasks according to the duties assigned related to the provisions mentioned in point b, clause 1, Article 11 of Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP.
- Flight hour norm:
+ Total accumulated flight hours for aerial mechanics ≥ 700 hours, for aerial reconnaissance patrols ≥ 650 hours;
+ Accumulated flight hours on current aircraft for the members of the converted flight crew ≥ 150 hours.
Furthermore, the standards of Rank 1 aerial mechanics and aerial reconnaissance patrollers for aircraft for transport or patrol in Vietnam are stipulated as follows:
- Qualifications in aviation technical skills and task performance capability:
+ Be a Rank 2 aerial mechanic and aerial reconnaissance patroller;
+ Perform tasks according to the duties assigned related to the provisions mentioned in point b, clause 1, Article 12 of Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP.
- Flight hour norm:
+ Total accumulated flight hours for aerial mechanics ≥ 900 hours, for aerial reconnaissance patrols ≥ 850 hours;
+ Accumulated flight hours on current aircraft for the members of the converted flight crew ≥ 200 hours.
More details may be found in Circular 120/2020/TT-BQP effective from January 1, 2021.
