Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 35/2009/ND-CP on the organization and operation of the Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environment.
Vietnam: What are the responsibilities of heads of state agencies for the operation of the Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environment? (Illustrative image)
Article 5 of Decree 35/2009/ND-CP stipulates the responsibilities of heads of state agencies for the operation of the Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environment in Vietnam as follows:
- The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment is responsible for organizing and directing the operation of the ministerial inspectorate; equipping with infrastructure, technical equipment, and uniforms, and meeting other conditions to facilitate the inspection activities; promptly handling the conclusions and recommendations of the ministerial inspectorate in accordance with the law.
- The General Director and the Director are responsible for organizing and directing the operation of the sub-ministerial inspectorate; equipping with infrastructure, technical equipment, and uniforms, and meeting other conditions to facilitate the inspection activities; promptly handling the conclusions and recommendations of the sub-ministerial inspectorate in accordance with the law.
- The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee is responsible for organizing and equipping with infrastructure, technical equipment, and uniforms for the Departmental Inspectorate.
- The Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is responsible for directing and ensuring the operational conditions for the Departmental Inspectorate; promptly handling the conclusions and recommendations of the Departmental Inspectorate in accordance with the law.
