Vietnam: Requirements to be satisfied by host units of ministerial-level science and technology tasks (Illustrative image)

The units with functions appropriate to the professional field of the science and technology task in Vietnam are entitled to participate in registration for selection or directly assigned to be the host unit of the science and technology task, except in the following cases:

- As of the time of submitting the application, they have not fully repaid the recoverable funds according to the contract for the performance of previous science and technology tasks;

- The host unit of the science and technology task has committed violations leading to the suspension of the task within 05 years from the date of the decision by the competent authority.

The application for participation in the selection or direct assignment of ministerial-level science and technology tasks in Vietnam includes:

- A copy of the certificate of registration for science and technology operations of the unit.

- The registration form for being the host unit of the science and technology task.

- The explanation of the science and technology task.

- A summary of the science and technology activities of the unit registering to be the host unit of the science and technology task.

- A document confirming the consent of the unit registering to coordinate in the performance of the science and technology task.

- A document proving the capability of mobilizing capital from other sources (for tasks requiring it).

- A price quotation for assets, equipment, and materials needed to purchase for the performance of the science and technology task (in the case that the explanation of the science and technology task includes the content of purchasing or renting assets, equipment, and materials).

- The result of the information search on related science and technology tasks.
