Vietnam: Application for inspection of food safety and quality of imported salt

According to Circular No. 27/2017/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, an application for inspection of food safety and quality of imported salt includes:

- The application for inspection of food safety and quality of imported salt.

- Copies of the following documents:

+ The sales contract (in Vietnamese or English; if the contract is prepared in another language, it must be enclosed with a Vietnamese translation, and the importer is held responsible before law for the accuracy of the translation);

+ Invoices;

+ Packing list;

+ Certificate of origin;

+ Bill of lading;

+ Import declaration;

+ Tariff quota-based import license (if any);

+ 03 notices issued by inspecting authorities on results of three consecutive inspections of food safety and quality of imported salt made in different inspection days under the tightened inspection procedure if the application is submitted for inspection of a shipment of imported salt of the same type, origin, manufacturer and importer, or the certificate of conformity of imported salt with quality standards (if the reduced inspection is conducted).

- A copy certified under the importer's seal of the certificate of free sale (CFS) of table salt, granted by a competent authority of the exporting country.

- The originals of the following documents:

+ The sampling record and the imported salt samples (if the tightened inspection is conducted);

+ The test results of imported salt samples granted by the laboratory meeting VILAS criteria in the chemical field (if the tightened inspection is conducted).
