Vietnam: Adjustment of the monthly preferential allowance for people with meritorious services prior to 1945

On July 01, 2019, Decree 58/2019/ND-CP was issued by the Government of Vietnam, stipulating the levels of allowances and preferential subsidies for people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The monthly allowance and preferential subsidies for revolutionaries before January 1, 1945, are stipulated by the Government of Vietnam in Appendix I issued with Decree 58/2019/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

Additionally, Decree 58 also stipulates the monthly allowance and preferential subsidies for revolutionaries active from January 1, 1945, to the August Revolution in 1945, specifically as follows:

- Death gratuity for relatives of revolutionaries active from January 1, 1945, to the August Revolution in 1945: Allowance 911,000 VND

- Biological parents, spouse, children 18 years old or older living alone without support or children under 18 years old orphaned of both parents receiving monthly death gratuity will be entitled to an additional nurturing death gratuity: Allowance 1,299,000 VND

Relevant provisions can be found in Decree 58/2019/ND-CP of Vietnam's Government effective from August 15, 2019, replacing Decree 99/2018/ND-CP.
