Vietnam: 06 new contents in the district land use planning

On November 20, 2018, the National Assembly of Vietnam officially approved the Law on Amendments to some Articles concerning Planning of 37 Laws of Vietnam (referred to as Law No. 35/2018/QH14).

According to the Law No. 35/2018/QH14 of Vietnam, the district land use planning contains at least:

- Orientations for use of land for 10 years;

- Quotas for use of land by type of land, including quotas for use of land allocated by the provincial planning to the district planning and quotas for use of land by demand for land use by the district and the commune;

- Areas using land by purpose up to commune level;

- Area of types of land specified in Point b Clause 2 Article 40 of this Law up to commune level;

- District land use planning map; regarding the area included in the planning for paddy land and area included in the planning for repurposing of land specified in Points a, b, c, d and e Clause 1 Article 57 of this Law, the map is required to show each administrative division of the commune in detail;

- Solutions for implementation of the land use planning.
