Trial Operation of Slipform System

On October 16, 2017, the Ministry of Construction issued Circular 11/2017/TT-BXD providing specific guidance on the trial operation of the slip form system.

Circular 11 stipulates that the trial run of the slip form system is conducted under the condition that on all working platforms, suspended scaffolding is loaded with 1.25 times the design load (The load due to the weight of people, materials, and construction equipment is arranged as prescribed in the design).

The trial run procedure is conducted as follows:

- Insert the jacking rods into position and clamp the lifting jacks onto the jacking rods;- Load fully and in the correct position as prescribed on the working platforms and suspended scaffolding;- Check the readiness of the system;- Operate the lifting jacks system to lift the entire system to a height corresponding to the full stroke of the piston. Continue to lift 3 to 4 more strokes. During the lifting process, it is necessary to observe to ensure that all jacks reach the end of their stroke when operating. During lifting, if it is found that the oil pressure increases to 1.2 times the normal lifting oil pressure and still does not make all jacks reach the end of their stroke, lifting must be stopped for inspection and handling;- Check the height deviation between the jacks. The height deviation between any two jacks must not exceed 40mm and the deviation between two adjacent jacks must not exceed 20mm for a height differential check corresponding to every 1000mm of sliding height. It is necessary to interpolate to find the height differential of the jacks corresponding to the system's sliding height during the trial run;- During the lifting process, it is necessary to inspect and observe the working condition of the hydraulic system and the entire slip form system. It is required to ensure that there is no oil leakage, the jacking rods are not bent. No abnormal phenomena occur at the lifting frames, couplers, working platforms, suspended scaffolding, etc.

At the same time, Circular 11 also stipulates the evaluation of trial run results as follows:

- The result meets the requirements when during the lifting process, the jacks reach the end of their stroke, and the height deviation between the jacks is within the permissible range. At the same time, there is no oil leakage or other abnormal phenomena. The vertical conveyance system complies with the corresponding technical safety inspection procedures.

See details in Circular 11/2017/TT-BXD effective from December 01, 2017.
