Tasks and powers of the Editorial Board of the Ministry of Health's Electronic Information Portal in Vietnam (Internet image)
On May 15, 2024, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Decision 1269/QD-BYT on the Regulations for the Operation of the Editorial Board of the Ministry of Health's Electronic Information Portal.
(1) Head of the Editorial Board
- Direct and manage the activities of the Editorial Board; determine the content of information on the Ministry of Health's Electronic Information Portal; take responsibility for the activities of the Editorial Board and the Electronic Information Portal (hereinafter referred to as the Portal);
- Direct the guidance, supervision, and requirements for units under the Ministry of Health to coordinate information provision;
- Convene and preside over regular or extraordinary meetings of the Editorial Board;
- Approve the ISO management procedures for the activities of the Portal.
(2) Deputy Head of the Editorial Board
- Assist the Head of the Board in directing and supervising the activities of the Editorial Board; Provide advice on implementing management tasks to ensure the smooth, safe, effective, and secure operation of the Portal; Act on behalf of the Head of the Board when delegated;
- Directly oversee the organization and operation, management orientation, development, and planning to improve the quality and content of information on the Portal. Also, be responsible to the Head of the Board for the assigned areas of responsibility;
- As the Deputy Head, make decisions on the use of funds for the activities of the Editorial Board; approve remuneration and allowances for the provision, approval, and publication of information on the Portal in accordance with regulations;
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of the Editorial Board.
(3) Members of the Editorial Board
- Take responsibility for the content of information on the Portal; ensure that the assigned sections/categories/subsites/member pages are managed according to the established direction; Be accountable to the Head of the Board for tasks within the assigned areas of responsibility;
- Directly supervise, coordinate, or instruct units to provide information and data according to the Assignment Table in Appendix I of the Regulations for the Management and Organization of the Ministry of Health's Electronic Information Portal (in Decision 59/QD-BYT dated January 10, 2022); receive and consolidate information, respond to inquiries in the assigned areas of responsibility; also verify the accuracy and truthfulness of information before sending it to the Editorial Board's permanent department;
- Members of the International Cooperation Department are responsible for providing information and data in English; translating Vietnamese documents into English as requested by the Head of the Editorial Board for publication on the English version of the Portal (https://moh.gov.vn/en_US/web/ministry-of-health) and being responsible for the accuracy of the information;
- Propose measures to improve the quality of information on the Portal; participate in the development, direction, and implementation of regular and annual work plans and programs of the Editorial Board;
- Regularly monitor and propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of the Portal's operations, suggest improvements in interface, information layout, functionality, and utilities for user convenience.
