Standards for Physical Facilities Serving Nursing Training Program

On October 2, 2014, the Ministry of Education and Training promulgated Circular 33/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing Regulations on the standards for assessing the quality of nursing training programs at university and college levels.

Circular 33/2014/TT-BGDDT specifies the standards for facilities serving nursing training programs at university and college levels, as follows:

  1. The library system of the faculty and school meets the requirements.

- There is an electronic library that meets the information access needs for study and research of staff, lecturers, and students;- There is an adequate number of specialized books, textbooks, and reference materials in both Vietnamese and foreign languages to meet the training needs in nursing;- Library services effectively support the training activities of the program.

  1. The teaching equipment and medical devices meet the requirements.

- There are enough teaching equipment and medical devices to meet the needs of teaching, learning, practice, and experiments;- There are enough teaching equipment and medical devices to meet scientific research requirements;- There are enough teaching equipment and medical devices to meet management and operational requirements.

  1. The system of functional rooms, classrooms, laboratories, practice rooms, and clinical practice facilities meets the requirements.

- There are enough functional rooms, classrooms, laboratories, practice rooms, and clinical practice facilities;- The functional rooms, classrooms, laboratories, practice rooms, and clinical practice facilities ensure sufficient area and proper standards;- The functional rooms, classrooms, laboratories, practice rooms, and clinical practice facilities are used effectively.

  1. The physical education facilities meet the requirements.

- There are sufficient facilities to meet the physical education requirements of the program;- There are sufficient facilities to organize other physical education and sports activities to improve health and physical development for students;- The physical education facilities are used effectively.

  1. There are measures to improve the quality of facilities serving the program.

- Periodically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the use of classrooms, functional rooms, and take measures to improve their usage efficiency;- Periodically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the use of laboratories, practice rooms, and clinical practice facilities and take measures to improve their usage efficiency;- Periodically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the use of other facilities and take measures to improve their usage efficiency.
