Standards for Awarding Commendation Certificates by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Applicable to Athletes

Recently, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism issued Circular 01/2015/BVHTTDL stipulating the standards for commendation and recommendation for commendation for athletes and coaches who achieve excellent results in international sports competitions.

In Clause 1, Article 10 of Circular 01/2015/BVHTTDL, it is stipulated that athletes meeting one of the following criteria are awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism:

- Winning a Bronze medal at ASIAD or ASIAN Para Games- Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at one of the following Games: ABG, AIMAG, YOG, AYGS;- Winning a Gold medal in a team event at ASEAN Para Games;- Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at ASEAN Para Games;- Winning a Bronze medal at the World Championship of Olympic sports;- Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at the World Championship of non-Olympic sports;- Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at the Asian Championship of Olympic sports;- Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at the Asian Para Athletics Championship;- Winning a Gold medal at one of the following international sports events: Southeast Asian Championship, World Junior Championship for non-Olympic sports, Asian Junior Championship, Southeast Asian Junior Championship;- Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at the World Junior Championship;- Winning a Gold medal at the Southeast Asian Para Athletics Championship;- Outstanding performance in qualifying rounds, earning official qualification for the Olympic Games or Paralympic Games;

For coaches directly training athletes, achieving one of the following accomplishments is awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism: Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at one of the following Games: ASIAN Para Games, AYG, ABG, AIMAG; Winning a Bronze medal at ASIAD; Winning a Silver or Bronze medal at the Asian Championship of Olympic sports; Winning a medal at the Asian Championship of non-Olympic sports; Winning a medal at the SEA Games or ASEAN Para Games; Winning a Gold medal at the Southeast Asian Championship of sports disciplines; Outstanding performance in qualifying rounds, earning official qualification for the Olympic Games or Paralympic Games.
