Skills at the Intermediate Vocational College Level in Electrical Installation and Control Techniques in Industry

Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate level, college level in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications will take effect from February 10, 2019.

According to the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in electrical installation and control engineering in industry, issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level in electrical installation and control engineering in industry are as follows:

- Identify, select, and use common electrical materials according to Vietnamese Standards and IEC Standards correctly;

- Operate and install electrical devices and equipment in supply systems, electrical equipment, and industrial automation control;

- Install systems for industrial and domestic safety protection;

- Perform primary first aid for individuals electrocuted;

- Identify and classify various types of basic electrical materials, electrical devices, and electrical equipment;

- Determine the faults in industrial and domestic electrical systems, analyze the causes, preventive measures, and remedy methods;

- Measure basic parameters and quantities in electrical circuits;

- Install, operate, maintain, and repair supply and distribution systems according to requirements and design drawings;

- Install and repair start-up and stop circuits, electrical equipment circuits for 3-phase, 1-phase, and DC motors;

- Calculate and select wires, arrange electrical systems suitable for working conditions and usage purposes in buildings, workshops, or factories;

- Choose grounding and lightning protection for power transmission lines and projects according to working conditions following TCVN and IEC electrical standards;

- Install power supply lines for buildings and workshops that meet requirements and standards;

- Master the use of measuring devices to measure and inspect electronic components, circuit components, and electrical circuit parameters;

- Assemble and repair pneumatic control circuits in industries such as product sorting chains and lifting systems;

- Operate circuits according to predefined principles and procedures;

- Develop a reasonable maintenance plan ensuring safety and industrial hygiene;

- Use basic information technology according to regulations; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the professional work of the industry and occupation;

- Use basic foreign language skills, reaching level 1/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework; apply foreign language skills in the professional work of the industry and occupation.
