Requirements for Skills in Industrial Electronics at College Level

Circular No. 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs stipulates the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate level, college level in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications will take effect from February 10, 2019.

Skills Requirements for Industrial Electronics Technology at College Level

According to the regulations on the minimum educational content and competency requirements for students graduating from intermediate and college level in Industrial Electronics Technology, issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that students must achieve upon graduating in Industrial Electronics Technology at the college level include:

- Proficient use of equipment ensuring labor safety, industrial hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention in the Industrial Electronics profession;

- Ability to read technical drawings in the field of Industrial Electronics (detailed drawings, assembly diagrams, schematic diagrams);

- Operation of electrical and electronic equipment in industrial production lines;

- Installation and connection of electronic devices in industrial production lines;

- Maintenance and repair of electronic devices as required by the job;

- Design and implementation of replacement electrical circuits and application circuits;

- Programming of microcontrollers and PLCs in specific applications;

- Use of specialized software in the industrial electronics sector;

- Connection of wired and wireless communication devices, Modbus network, AS-i network, Industrial Ethernet network;

- Identification and handling of common industrial communication network incidents;

- Maintenance of industrial robots;

- Basic use of information technology as prescribed; exploring, processing, and applying information technology in professional work related to the field;

- Basic use of foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Framework of Foreign Language Proficiency; application of such foreign languages in professional work in the field.
