Requirements for Knowledge in the Field of Installation Engineering for Telecommunications Stations (College Level)

On December 28, 2018, Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH was issued by BLDTBXH, stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical, electronic, and telecommunications engineering.

According to the Regulation on the Minimum Knowledge Volume, requirements for competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels, majoring in telecommunications station installation engineering issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that students must achieve after graduating in telecommunications station installation engineering at the college level includes:

- Understanding regulations and standards on technical drawings in the profession;

- Describing the functions and usage of mechanical tools and measuring equipment of the industry and profession;

- Presenting the process of BTS station installation, complying with electrical safety and hygiene rules according to 5S standards;

- Presenting the basic knowledge of installing telecommunications stations;

- Presenting the operating principles, standards, and technical specifications of telecommunication electronic devices;

- Explaining the functions, operating principles, and applications of green and clean energy models (solar energy or wind energy, etc.) to provide power for BTS station infrastructure;

- Presenting the functions and operating principles of network devices;

- Describing the functions and operating principles of remote control, monitoring devices, and applications of new technology software;

- Analyzing, aggregating, and evaluating the installation progress;

- Analyzing the pros and cons of similar devices from different manufacturers;

- Presenting the methods of analyzing and aggregating data on various technical drawings; methods for accurately determining the location, site position, device installation, and related benchmarks for construction, installation of signs on the construction site;

- Stating the methods for calculating and selecting copper cables, fiber optic cables, electrical cables; electrical apparatus, measuring devices, signals, control, protection, etc., for network and BTS station projects;

- Analyzing measurement parameters, planning, estimating equipment, manpower, tools, materials, labor protection, etc., to serve calibration and handover of network and BTS station systems;

- Stating the importance of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Industry 4.0 in the networking and telecommunications field;

- Presenting basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, physical education according to regulations.
