Requirements for Individuals Leading the Implementation of Ministerial-level Science and Technology Tasks

This is one of the contents stipulated in Circular 33/2014/TT-BKHCN Issuing regulations on the management of ministry-level scientific and technological tasks of the Ministry of Science and Technology, issued on November 06, 2014.

Individuals registering to manage ministerial-level scientific and technological tasks must meet the following requirements:

- Hold at least a university degree;- Have the appropriate expertise or job position and be active in the same field of science and technology as the task in the last three years leading up to the time of application submission;- Be the main author or a key participant in drafting the scientific and technological task proposals;- Have the ability to directly organize the execution and ensure sufficient time to manage the research work of the scientific and technological task.

Individuals in the following categories are not eligible to register for selection or direct assignment as managers of scientific and technological tasks:

- At the deadline for application submission, still managing two (02) or more scientific and technological tasks (including: ministerial, provincial, and national projects; projects funded by state science and technology funds or conducted through loans or guaranteed loans from state funds);

- Individuals who managed scientific and technological tasks evaluated as “unsatisfactory” will not be eligible to register for selection or direct assignment for a period of three (03) years from the evaluation conclusion date;

- Individuals managing scientific and technological tasks at any level who committed violations leading to suspension and criminal prosecution will not be eligible to register for selection or direct assignment for a period of five (05) years from the date of the authoritative decision.
