Requirements for Equipment of Enterprises Providing Maritime Safety Services

The Ministry of Transport promulgates Circular 14/2017/TT-BGTVT guiding certain provisions of Decree 70/2016/ND-CP on the conditions for providing maritime safety assurance services.

Circular 14 stipulates details for docks, production workshops, and specialized vessels of enterprises providing maritime safety services for specialized maritime channels, specifically:

- Docks, production workshops, and specialized vessels of the enterprise shall comply with the provisions of Article 3 of Circular 14.- For specialized maritime channels not exceeding 05 nautical miles in length and having no more than 10 maritime signals, the service-providing enterprise must meet:- Have a dock or a dock rental contract capable of ensuring the safe entry and exit of specialized vessels;- Have a production workshop or a rental contract for a production workshop for the maintenance of maritime signals with a minimum total area of 200 m²;- Have specialized vessels with an appropriate area of operation to serve the tasks of establishing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and continuously monitoring the operation of the maritime signal system.
