Requirements for Basic Construction Rubber Plant Nurseries in the Northern Mountainous Region

Noteworthy in Circular 47/2014 are the technical requirements for rubber seedling nurseries as follows:

Regarding location: The area for the construction of a rubber seedling nursery should be below 600 meters above sea level, with climatic conditions similar to Section 2.2, an irrigation water source, soil composition ranging from light to heavy loam, good drainage, and convenience for travel and transporting seedlings.

Nursery design requirements:

- The nursery design must ensure drainage, reduce erosion, and facilitate the care and transportation of seedlings; it should have a nursery shade by transparent white nylon film to keep grafted seedlings warm, preparing them for new planting in the cold season;- The nursery should be divided into sections with transportation pathways between them.

Regarding the management of rubber seedling nurseries:

- The producer must establish a management file for the rubber seedling nursery;- In the nursery file, clearly record the date, month, and year of planting; the type of seed, graft, and grafting wood; the number of standard grafted trees and the survival rate of each grafting batch by type of seed, with clear origins according to Circular No. 18/2012/TT-BNNPTNT dated April 26, 2012, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which stipulates the management of production and business of industrial plants and perennial fruit trees.
