Required Skills Upon Graduation from the College Program in Mechatronics

On December 28, 2018, Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH was issued by BLDTBXH, stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical, electronic, and telecommunications engineering.

In the Regulations on Minimum Knowledge Volume, Competency Requirements that Learners Must Achieve After Graduating from Intermediate and College Levels in the Mechatronics Field, issued along with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the skill requirements after graduating from the college level in the mechatronics field are stipulated as follows:

- Be able to read technical drawings of mechatronics systems, control systems, microcontrollers… of the profession;

- Install, operate, and exploit mechatronic systems, various mechatronic products with mechanical drive systems, electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, electric drive control, electric-servo;

- Apply the control methods: PLC programming, microcontrollers, robots, various sensors, industrial communication networks in the professional work of the profession;

- Design automation solutions for control systems, flexible production modules, control systems for processes with monitoring and data collection functions;

- Develop plans, organize implementation, supervise, and evaluate real industrial production processes and the technical-technological-economic relationships between stages in industrial production;

- Manage, organize, and maintain industrial systems, apply computers in the process of building maintenance plans for industrial systems in companies and enterprises;

- Propose, develop projects, participate in organizing, operating, and managing techniques for automatic stations and systems as well as in technical service activities;

- Develop technological processes and process products using CAD/CAM/CNC technology, 3D printing technology; approach and develop new technologies based on the knowledge and skills acquired in school;

- Maintain and repair mechanical drive structures, electrical-electronic equipment, hydraulic-pneumatic systems in the mechatronics field;

- Use basic information technology as stipulated; exploit, process, apply information technology in the professional work of the industry and profession;

- Use basic foreign languages, reaching level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework; apply foreign languages to the professional work of the industry and profession.

Additionally, after graduation, learners must achieve at least the following level of autonomy and responsibility:

- Have occupational ethics and conscience, industrial manner; high sense of responsibility;

- Work independently or in teams, solve complex tasks and issues in changing working conditions;

- Guide and supervise others in performing defined tasks, bear personal and group responsibilities;

- Evaluate the quality of work after completion and the performance results of group members.
