Required Skills After Graduating from the Intermediate-Level Refrigeration Equipment Operation and Maintenance Program

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs issued Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in technical fields of electrical, electronics, and telecommunications.

According to the regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from Intermediate vocational training, vocational college training in operating and repairing refrigeration equipment issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the skill requirements to be achieved after graduating from Intermediate vocational training in operating and repairing refrigeration equipment are as follows:

- Able to read technical drawings related to operating and repairing refrigeration equipment;

- Able to operate equipment in the refrigeration system according to correct procedures, ensuring optimization of operating parameters;

- Able to maintain the refrigeration system according to correct procedures, ensuring safety for people and equipment;

- Able to identify causes of malfunctions and repair common malfunctions of refrigeration equipment;

- Competently use tools and instruments for repairing refrigeration equipment ensuring safety and technical requirements;

- Competently use technical safety protective equipment, provide first aid to victims in case of incidents;

- Able to use basic information technology according to regulations; exploit, process, and apply information technology in specialized work of the field;

- Able to use basic foreign language, reaching level 1/6 in the Vietnam's Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages in specialized work of the field.

Additionally, the level of autonomy and responsibility that learners must achieve is defined as follows:

- Comply with the regulations of the agency, unit; regulations on occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention, and firefighting;

- Show concern and take care of customers and colleagues with a polite and friendly attitude;

- Comply with legal regulations in business;

- Have professional ethics, industrial working style, organizational discipline awareness, and responsibility in using and preserving communal property;

- Proactively propose, build plans, and organize work implementation;

- Work independently or in a team, cooperate with colleagues to solve work, enhance professional skills;

- Take responsibility for assessing the quality of work after completion and the results of one’s part and partly, the work of team members before the leadership of the agency, organization, unit.
