Regulations on Minimum Skills for the Intermediate Level in Mechanical Assembly

Recently, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH on December 28, 2018, regulating the minimum amount of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of mechanical engineering.

According to the regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the mechanical assembly fitting industry, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills to be achieved after graduating in the mechanical assembly fitting industry at the intermediate level are as follows:

- Read and analyze detailed drawings, assembly drawings of some transmission and motion transformation mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, lifting and handling equipment, drawings of tools, assembly means that need maintenance, and repair;

- Develop assembly plans for some transmission and motion transformation mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, and assembly means;

- Select and use various types of tools, assembly equipment, and assembly service equipment;

- Repair common malfunctions of tools, assembly equipment, and assembly service equipment;

- Perform basic fitting processes, assemble some transmission and motion transformation mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, lifting, and handling equipment;

- Maintain and service various types of tools, assembly equipment, and assembly service equipment (regular and periodic maintenance) as required;

- Handle errors in basic fitting processes, assemble transmission and motion transformation mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, lifting, and handling equipment;

- Operate various types of tools, means, and equipment serving the assembly process;

- Inspect and evaluate the quality after assembling some transmission and motion transformation mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, and assembly means;

- Organize the implementation of occupational safety, industrial hygiene measures, 5S procedures, and handle some emergency first aid situations;

- Use basic information technology as prescribed; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the professional tasks of the industry;

- Use basic foreign language skills, reaching level 1/6 in Vietnam's Foreign Language Competency Framework; apply foreign languages in the professional tasks of the industry.
