Regulation on registration of domestic watercraft in Vietnam according to Circular No. 75/2014/TT-BGTVT

On December 19, 2014, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam issued the Circular No. 75/2014/TT-BGTVT regulating registration for domestic watercraft.

According to Article 3 of the Circular No. 75/2014/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, registration and registration cancellation of domestic watercraft are specified as follows:

1. Vehicles that have sufficient documents as regulated shall be registered into the Register of domestic watercraft and issued certificate of domestic watercraft registration by competent vehicle registration agencies as prescribed in Article 8 hereof.

2. In case the vehicle owner is an individual that has no permanent residence status but has registered temporary residence in the locality, registration shall be carried out in the same way as permanent residence.

3. Vehicles shall be registered again in the following cases:

- Transfer of ownership;

- Change of names, technical functions;

- Head office or permanent residence of vehicle owner is changed into other provincial administrative unit;

- Changing from other registration agencies into domestic watercraft registration agency.

4. Registration cancellation shall apply in the following cases: Vehicles are missing; Vehicles are damaged; Vehicles are unrecoverable; Transfer of ownership; Change of vehicle registration agency; At the request of the vehicle owner.
