Procedures for Awarding the Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Culture, Sports, and Tourism" in Vietnam (Internet image)

Circular 11/2014/TT-BVHTTDL stipulates the procedure for awarding the Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Culture, Sports, and Tourism" for each entity  in Vietnamas follows:

1. For individuals currently working in the Sector

- Individuals working at any agency shall submit their application to that agency to request the awarding of the Commemorative Medal according to Form No. 4 of the Appendix attached to this Circular.

- Based on the evaluation results of the Unit's Emulation and Commendation Council, the Heads of the units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism shall request the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council to consider and submit to the Minister for decision;

- Based on the proposal of the Heads of the units under the Department, the Head of the Culture - Information and Sports Department of the districts, district-level towns of the province, centrally governed cities, the Emulation and Commendation Council of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, centrally governed cities are responsible for evaluating, preparing the dossier, and the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism shall request the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council to consider and submit to the Minister for decision.

2. For individuals who have retired from the Sector

- Individuals who have retired from units under the Ministry shall submit their application to the last agency before retirement to request the awarding of the Commemorative Medal according to Form No. 4 of the Appendix attached to this Circular. The Emulation and Commendation Council of that unit is responsible for evaluating, preparing the dossier, and the Heads of the units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism shall request the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council to consider and submit to the Minister for decision;

- Individuals who have retired at any locality shall submit their application to the last agency before retirement to request the awarding of the Commemorative Medal according to Form No. 4 of the Appendix attached to this Circular. The Emulation and Commendation Council of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of that locality is responsible for evaluating, preparing the dossier, and the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism shall request the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council to consider and submit to the Minister for decision.

3. For individuals working outside the Sector

- The Heads of the units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism are responsible for evaluating, preparing the dossier for cases within their field, area of management to request the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council to consider and submit to the Minister for decision;

- In special cases, the Standing Committee of the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council is responsible for proposing, preparing the dossier to submit to the Minister for decision.

4. For overseas Vietnamese or foreigners: The Heads of the units under the Ministry, the Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism are responsible for evaluating, preparing the dossier for cases within their field, area of management to submit to the Ministry's Emulation and Commendation Council for consideration, and to submit to the Minister for decision.
