Probationary Period for Public Employees in the Healthcare Sector

This is a notable content stipulated in Circular 43/2016/TT-BYT regulating the probation period according to the professional title of public employees in the health sector.

According to the regulations under Circular 43/2016/TT-BYT, depending on each professional title, the probationary period for public employees in the healthcare sector varies as follows:

- Individuals selected for the professional titles of physician (category IV), nurse (category IV), pharmacist (category IV), midwife (category IV), medical technician (category IV), nutritionist (category IV), population officer (category IV) must undergo a probationary period of 6 months.- Individuals selected for the professional titles of doctor (category III), preventive medicine doctor (category III) must undergo a probationary period of 9 months.- Individuals selected for the professional titles of public health (category III), pharmacist (category III), nurse (category III), midwife (category III), medical technician (category III), nutritionist (category III), population officer (category III) must undergo a probationary period of 12 months.
