Circular 01/2017/TT-BTP was issued by the Ministry of Justice on January 23, 2017, detailing the principles for managing and handling exhibits and temporarily seized assets.
Accordingly, the principles for managing and handling exhibits and temporarily seized assets as stipulated in Circular 01 include:
- Exhibits and temporarily seized assets in civil execution transferred by authorized agencies in accordance with the law or assets inventoried and temporarily seized by civil execution agencies must be stored in the exhibits and asset storage warehouse (hereinafter referred to as the exhibits warehouse) of the civil execution agency.- For exhibits and temporarily seized assets that cannot be transported or relocated to the exhibits warehouse of the civil execution agency, the Head of the civil execution agency shall sign a contract for guarding and safekeeping in accordance with the law.- Exhibits and temporarily seized assets in civil execution must be stored safely and handled promptly in accordance with the law. Any acts of infringement, breaking the seal, unauthorized use, transfer, adding or replacing, hiding, destruction, and other acts causing damage or altering the condition of exhibits and temporarily seized assets in civil execution shall be handled under the law.- The exhibits warehouse of the civil execution agency shall not be used for other purposes.- Only competent persons as prescribed by law are permitted to enter or leave the exhibits warehouse.
