This is the content prescribed in Circular 37/2017/TT-BYT issued by the Ministry of Health on September 25, 2017, stipulating the practice of ensuring biological safety in laboratories.
Accordingly, Circular 37 stipulates the operations to be performed in the laboratory, including:
- Washing hands according to routine procedures or quickly sanitizing before and after performing tests, after removing gloves, and before leaving the laboratory;- Having and adhering to testing procedures to ensure that operations are carried out in a way that minimizes the generation of splashes or aerosols;- Packaging specimens for transport out of the testing facility according to the regulations on the policies for managing infectious disease samples;- Not using pumps and syringes as a substitute for pipets or for any purpose other than injecting, infusing, or drawing fluid from experimental animals;- Not eating, drinking, smoking, shaving, or applying makeup in the laboratory; not bringing personal items or food into the laboratory; not wearing or removing contact lenses or using phones while performing tests.
