The Ministry of Information and Communications issued Circular 36/2017/TT-BTTTT on November 29, 2017, specifically regulating the official attire for specialized information and communication inspectors.
Circular 36 stipulates the official attire for specialized inspectors belonging to the Departments, which includes: autumn-winter clothing, overcoat, spring-summer trousers, short-sleeved spring-summer shirts, long-sleeved spring-summer shirts, long-sleeved shirts, helmets, ties, leather belts, leather shoes, strap sandals, socks, raincoats, document bags, pine branches, insignia buttons, epaulets, and ranks. To be specific:
- Specialized inspection officials, when provided with attire for official duties, holidays, or traditional days, are responsible for maintaining and preserving the attire according to state regulations. It is strictly prohibited to misuse the attire for unauthorized purposes or for personal gain.
- Information and Communication specialized inspection officials are issued a badge and insignia once. If they become old, damaged, or lost, they can be reissued or exchanged in case of appointment or promotion.
- In cases where Information and Communication specialized inspection officials transfer their work, retire, or are disciplined with forced dismissal while the issued attire has not expired, they are not required to return it. However, if the attire has expired and has not yet been reissued, it will not be reissued.
- Female Information and Communication specialized inspection officials can choose between spring-summer trousers, autumn-winter trousers, spring-summer skirts, or autumn-winter skirts in the issued year; they are allowed to wear regular clothing during pregnancy from the third month until childbirth.
- Information and Communication specialized inspection officials can choose between one type of short or long-sleeved spring-summer shirt and can replace the long-sleeved shirt with a long-sleeved spring-summer shirt in the issued year.
- Based on specific conditions, Directors of the Departments tasked with specialized inspection functions may consider deciding to tailor attire for the officials assigned with specialized inspection duties or provide funds to individuals to tailor attire according to the standards, form, color, and style of the attire.
