Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level and college level in mechanical engineering fields.

According to the Regulations on the Minimum Knowledge Volume and Competency Requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the field of mechanical equipment system maintenance issued with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve after graduating in the field of mechanical equipment system maintenance at the college level are as follows:

- Ability to read assembly drawings and related documentation for maintenance, repair;

- Ability to calculate and develop technological plans for maintenance and repairs, addressing both simple and complex incidents to ensure the stable operation of mechanical equipment;

- Ability to install, trial operate, and transfer handover mechanical equipment systems in medium-level mechanical equipment warranty businesses and production facilities when adequate technical documents are available;

- Ability to organize and oversee regular, periodic, and preventive maintenance, as well as minor repairs of mechanical equipment to ensure stable operation of the systems, maintaining technical parameters;

- Ability to evaluate the technical condition of the mechanical equipment system after installation, operation, and regular or periodic maintenance;

- Ability to monitor and assess the technical condition of parts and assembly groups within mechanical drive systems, control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, etc., during operation;

- Ability to monitor and evaluate the technical condition during operation, promptly detect and address abnormal manifestations in mechanical equipment;

- Ability to address technical issues arising during production, develop plans for the replacement of damaged parts and components according to technical requirements to ensure the normal operation of the system;

- Ability to create records tracking the technical condition of mechanical equipment after maintenance, repair, following regulations;

- Ability to develop maintenance plans and assess the quality status of mechanical equipment after maintenance;

- Ability to organize and effectively implement industrial safety, hygiene, and fire prevention measures;

- Ability to use basic information technology according to regulations; to exploit, process, and apply information technology in professional work in the field;

- Ability to use basic foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework; to apply foreign languages in professional work of the field.
