Minimum Skills for the Ship Hull Manufacturing Technology Industry at Intermediate Level

On December 28, 2018, Circular No. 11/2015/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs stipulating the minimum volume of knowledge, competency requirements to be achieved by learners after graduation at the intermediate and college levels in fields of materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technology sectors was issued.

According to the Regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at intermediate and college levels in the field of ship hull manufacturing technology issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve upon graduating in the field of ship hull manufacturing technology at the intermediate level are as follows:

- Draw, inspect, and adjust the shape lines of the ship hull on three projection planes;

- Develop some basic structural details, flat and one-dimensional curved hull plates ensuring technical requirements;

- Draw sketches, manufacture various types of templates and basic molds serving the ship hull manufacturing technology;

- Process and assemble some structural details of the hull and hull plates ensuring technical requirements;

- Determine the permissible limits of deviations for assembly types during new construction and repair of ship hulls;

- Assemble sections and blocks of the hull ensuring technical requirements;

- Perform work ensuring technical requirements and occupational safety;

- Use basic information technology as prescribed; exploit, handle, and apply information technology in professional work of the field;

- Use basic foreign language skills, achieving level 1/6 in the Vietnam's Foreign Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign language skills to some professional tasks in the field.
