Minimum Required Knowledge for the Field of Residential Electricity (Colleges)

On February 10, 2019, Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) promulgating regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications, will take effect.

According to the Regulations on the minimum knowledge volume, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level and college level in the residential electrical industry, issued in conjunction with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve after graduating from the residential electrical college level are as follows:

- Proficient use of electrical and non-electrical measuring tools;- First aid for victims of workplace accidents and electric shocks;- Install, inspect, and repair residential electrical systems and household electrical appliances such as apartment electrical systems, irons, rice cookers, water heaters, microwave ovens, washing machines, water pumps, single-phase generators;- Install, maintain, and repair household thermal devices and install & maintain household cooling devices;- Install, maintain, and repair automatic residential control devices;- Design residential lighting networks;- Install, operate, and repair solar energy systems;- Install, operate, and repair smart homes;- Execute residential lighting projects;- Effectively and efficiently use energy to meet 5S standards;- Organize and perform tasks ensuring workplace safety, industrial hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention;- Use basic information technology according to regulations; exploit, process, and apply information technology in professional work in the industry;- Use basic foreign languages, achieving Level 2/6 in the Vietnam's foreign language proficiency framework; apply foreign languages in professional work in the industry.
