Minimum Knowledge Requirements for the Industrial Automation Industry (Intermediate Level)

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications.

According to the Regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate level and college level in industrial automation technology, issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that students must achieve upon graduating with an intermediate level degree in industrial automation technology is as follows:

- Present the principles and standards to ensure electrical safety for people and equipment;- Present the functions, working principles, and applications of various types of motors; sensors; basic electronic circuits; measuring instruments; specialized controllers; cutting, protection devices such as relays, contactors, sensors, etc.;- Present the methods of measuring both electrical and non-electrical equipment;- Present the methods of installing industrial automation equipment;- Present the operating principles and functions of industrial robots;- Present the meanings of the settings in common industrial controllers;- Present the symbols and conventions of technical drawings, specialized electrical diagrams according to IEC standards;- Present the procedure for inspecting, maintaining, and calibrating the automatic control system;- State the rules for labor safety, industrial hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention;- Present the process and content of technical consultation and equipment business automation;- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as regulated.
