Minimum Knowledge Requirements for Graduating from College in Automobile Technology

On February 10, 2019, Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate level, college level in the fields of materials, metallurgy, production and other technical technology sectors will take effect.

As stipulated in the regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and proficiency required for students upon graduation from the intermediate and college levels in the field of Automotive Technology, issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge to be acquired upon graduation from the college level in Automotive Technology is as follows:

- Explain the composition and operating principles of various systems and mechanisms in automobiles;

- Interpret technical drawings, structures of components and parts within automobiles, electrical circuits, and control signal circuits;

- Research specialized automotive technical documents;

- Explain the content of tasks in the processes of dismantling, assembling, inspecting, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing automobiles;

- Present the criteria and standards for quality evaluation and methods for measuring technical parameters of each type of detail and system within automobiles;

- Explain the operating principles of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems in automobiles;

- Describe methods for diagnosing malfunctions in structures and systems within automobiles;

- Present basic requirements and procedural steps for formulating processes to inspect, maintain, and repair automobiles;

- Explain the principles, methods of use, operation, and application scope of tools and equipment in the field of Automotive Technology;

- Explain the contents and significance of safety techniques, fire and explosion prevention, and industrial hygiene;

- Analyze the basic skills and maneuvers in driving automobiles;

- Present methods for managing and conducting automotive service businesses; principles and methods for planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating processes within the scope of the Automotive Technology profession;

- Present basic knowledge on politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as per regulations.
