Minimum Knowledge Requirements after Graduation from College in Mechanical Assembly and Fitting

From February 10, 2019, Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) stipulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in mechanical engineering and related fields will take effect.

According to the Regulations on the Minimum Volume of Knowledge, the Competency Requirements that Learners Must Achieve after Graduating from Intermediate and College Levels in the Engineering and Mechanical Assembly, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates the minimum knowledge learners must achieve upon graduating from the college level in mechanical assembly as follows:

- Able to describe the use, structure, and working principles of different types of assembly tools and assembly-related equipment (calipers, gauges, cutting tools, drill bits, taps, dies; assembly tools: various wrenches, air guns, cranes, hoists, winches; lathes, drill machines, grinding machines, electric welders, etc.);

- Able to describe the methods of using measurement tools, equipment, and assembly-related means;

- Able to analyze some common faults, methods to check, repair common faults of assembly tools and assembly-related equipment;

- Able to analyze methods for maintaining, servicing, and using assembly tools and assembly-related equipment (regular and periodic maintenance and servicing);

- Able to describe organizational and management plans for assembly;

- Able to describe the methods of operating motion transformation and transmission mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, lifting equipment, machinery or mechanical equipment assemblies, mechanical machine combinations or equipment;

- Able to describe the regulations regarding labor safety, industrial sanitation, fire and explosion prevention;

- Able to analyze methods for establishing assembly process technology for movement transmission and transformation mechanisms, safety mechanisms, jigs, lifting equipment, machinery or mechanical equipment assemblies, mechanical machine combinations or equipment;

- Able to describe basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as specified.
