On February 10, 2019, Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) promulgating regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications, will take effect.

As per the regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the industrial electronics field, issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that students must achieve after graduating from the industrial electronics program at the college level is as follows:
- Present the regulations and standards related to technical drawings in the profession;
- Present basic knowledge about occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and fire prevention in the workplace;
- Explain the laws in the field of electricity and electronics, the principles of electronic devices and electrical machines;
- Analyze malfunction phenomena in the industrial electronics field;
- Analyze the structure, operational principles, characteristics, applications, and technical specifications of electronic components and power electronics components;
- Explain the operational principles of analog and digital devices;
- Explain the operational principles of common electrical circuits;
- Analyze basic programs for PLCs and microcontrollers;
- Analyze electrical and electronic circuit diagrams, construction diagrams, and assembly specifications;
- Present the procedure for constructing printed circuit boards from schematic diagrams;
- Present the structure and operational principles of industrial production lines;
- Analyze the operational principles of electrical circuits and electronic devices for design, testing, and repair;
- Understand the methods of designing electrical and electronic application circuits to meet job requirements;
- State the importance of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Industry 4.0 in the industrial electronics field;
- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education as prescribed.
