Minimum Knowledge of Operation and Maintenance of Refrigeration Equipment, College Level

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications.

Under the Regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the field of operation, maintenance of refrigeration equipment issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners must achieve after graduating from the college level in the field of operation, maintenance of refrigeration equipment is as follows:

- Present the standard regulations in drawings regarding the operation and maintenance of refrigeration equipment;

- Analyze the equipment diagram and the operating principle of the refrigeration system;

- Analyze the nature of the operating principles, structural principles of refrigeration equipment and identify the distinct, specialized characteristics of each type and according to each manufacturer;

- Present the operating principles of control devices, measuring and testing equipment;

- Present the procedures for operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration equipment in industrial, civil, and commercial sectors;

- Analyze phenomena, causes of malfunctions, and methods of checking, repairing, and replacing refrigeration equipment;

- Analyze technical characteristics, compare technical parameters of components, assemblies, and refrigeration equipment in industrial, civil, and commercial refrigeration systems;

- Understand the method of calculating thermal balance and preliminary calculations of the cooling capacity of refrigeration equipment;

- Present safety measures for fire and explosion prevention, labor accident prevention, and first aid methods for accident victims;

- Present the requirements and measures for greening the profession of operating and maintaining refrigeration equipment;

- Present fundamental issues regarding management, principles, and methods of planning, organizing, implementing, supervising, and evaluating the operation, maintenance, and repair processes of refrigeration equipment;

- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education according to regulations.

Details are stipulated in Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, effective from February 10, 2019.
