Measurement in Military and Defense: What Requirements Must Be Ensured?

On January 07, 2019, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 02/2019/TT-BQP regulating measurement activities in the military and defense sector.

According to the provisions of Circular 02/2019/TT-BQP, measurement activities in the military and national defense sector must comply with the following principles:

- Measurements must ensure consistency and accuracy.- Measurement activities must ensure:- Integrity, objectivity, accuracy, and transparency;- Safety, public health protection, and environmental protection;- Compliance with international practices, state regulations, and specific regulations in the military and national defense sector;- Convenience for agencies, units, and individuals involved in measurement activities.

Also according to Circular 02/2019/TT-BQP, the units of measurement used in the military and national defense sector include legal measurement units, other units according to the Law on Measurement 2011, Decree 86/2012/ND-CP, and specific military and national defense measurement units.
