Level of Autonomy and Responsibilities Required After Graduating from College of Garment Technology

Recently, the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in fields such as materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technologies.

As stipulated in the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level and college level in the garment technology profession, issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stated that after graduating from the college level in garment technology, learners are capable of meeting the requirements at job positions in the profession, including:

- Production sample design;- Development of technical documents;- Sample sewing;- Layout planning;- Production line design;- Production deployment;- Production line sewing;- Quality control;- Production team management.

Additionally, the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating in the garment technology profession at the college level can be further developed at higher levels. Graduates have the ability for self-study and self-updating scientific and technological advancements within the profession to improve proficiency or pursue further education at higher levels in the same profession, or in related professions, or in the same field of training.
