According to the Regulations on Minimum Knowledge Volume, Competency Requirements that Learners Must Achieve After Graduating from Intermediate and College Levels in the Metal Cutting Technology Field, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating from the metal cutting technology field at the college level, learners have the capacity to meet the requirements for job positions within the sector, including:

- Machining on universal lathe machines;- Machining on CNC lathe machines;- Machining on universal milling machines;- Machining on CNC milling machines;- Machining on shaping and slotting machines;- Machining on grinding machines;- Machining on universal boring machines;- Machining on EDM machines and wire cutting machines;- Maintaining basic technological systems;- Inspecting product quality.

Additionally, the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating in the Metal Cutting Technology field at the college level can be further developed to higher levels. After graduation, learners have the capability to self-study, update scientific and technological advancements within the field to enhance their level or proceed to higher levels within the same field, or within the same field group or within the same training area.
