According to the regulation on the minimum amount of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level and college level in the field of garment equipment repair issued attached to Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating in garment equipment repair at college level, learners have the competency to meet the requirements at job positions in the field, including:

- Basic sewing machine repair;- Specialized sewing machine repair;- Garment equipment business;- Jig manufacturing in the garment industry;- Technology transfer for garment equipment manufacturers;- Supervision of garment equipment assembly process in equipment manufacturing factories;- Equipment management in garment factories.

Additionally, the regulation on learning ability and capacity enhancement for learners is as follows:

- The minimum amount of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating in the field of Garment Equipment Repair at college level can further develop at higher levels;- After graduation, learners have the ability to self-learn, self-update scientific and technological advances within the field to enhance their level or transfer to higher-level studies in the same group of fields or within the same training domain.
