On February 10, 2019, Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) regulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in mechanical engineering and related fields will take effect.

According to the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge, requirements for competencies that learners must achieve after graduating with a secondary or college degree in mechanical equipment manufacturing, attached to Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating with a secondary vocational qualification in mechanical equipment manufacturing, learners are competent to meet the requirements of job positions in the industry, including:
- Welding processing;- Machining on machine tools;- Manufacturing mechanical structures;- Manufacturing ventilation systems;- Manufacturing tanks and containers;- Assembling mechanical equipment;- Inspecting, supervising, and guiding the use of equipment
In addition, the minimum volume of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the secondary vocational training program in mechanical equipment manufacturing can be further developed at higher levels. Graduates have the competence for self-study and updating scientific and technological advancements within their profession to enhance their level or pursue further studies to higher levels in the same profession or related fields.
