Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in health and social services fields will take effect on February 10, 2019.

According to the regulations on minimum knowledge volume, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level, college level in traditional medicine, issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating from the college level in traditional medicine, learners are competent to meet the requirements for job positions in the field, including:
- Medical examination and prescription of traditional medicine;
- Dispensing traditional medicine;
- Acupuncture;
- Massage - acupressure;
- Guiding physical exercise;
- Processing medicinal herbs;
- Trading traditional medicine;
- Practicing traditional medicine in commune (ward) health stations;
- Practicing traditional medicine clinics.
Additionally, the document specifies that with the minimum knowledge volume, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the college level in traditional medicine, they can continue to develop to higher levels; graduates have the ability to self-study, update scientific and technological advancements within the field to enhance their qualifications or pursue further linked study to higher levels within the same field or related fields.
