On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in various fields, including materials, metallurgy, manufacturing, and other technical engineering technologies.

as stipulated in the Regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that students must achieve after graduation at the intermediate level and college level for the Metal Rolling and Drawing Technology industry, issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the Metal Rolling and Drawing Technology at the intermediate level is an industry and occupation performing tasks in operating and adjusting equipment; calculating and calibrating technological parameters; organizing and managing tasks in the field of metal rolling and drawing to produce products that meet economic, technical, and labor safety standards, meeting level 4 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

The main tasks of the Metal Rolling and Drawing Technology industry and occupation include: preparing metal billets for rolling and drawing; operating the billet heating furnace; adjusting shape rolling equipment; operating shape rolling equipment; rolling sheets; welding pipe rolling and shape bending technology; metal drawing; cooling products; inspecting, processing, and recovering products.

Due to the specific conditions and working environment, workers in this profession must meet health requirements, possess sufficient specialized knowledge and skills, have stable nerves, and good reflexes to work with high precision and handle arising situations.

The Metal Rolling and Drawing Technology industry often works on an assembly line, thus requiring workers to have professional ethics, an industrial demeanor, a high sense of responsibility and teamwork, communication and interaction skills in executing tasks, and the ability to organize and perform the duties of the Metal Rolling and Drawing Technology profession.

Minimum knowledge volume: 1,400 hours (equivalent to 50 credits).
