Introduction to the Intermediate-Level Mechanical Equipment Manufacturing Sector

From February 10, 2019, Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) regulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in mechanical engineering and related fields will take effect.

According to the Regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the mechanical equipment manufacturing industry and profession, issued together with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the intermediate-level mechanical equipment manufacturing industry is a profession that performs work to create auxiliary equipment and mechanical products for application in production processes and social life, such as mechanical, construction, electrical equipment components, etc.; standard and non-standard equipment components, ensuring technical standards and safety, meeting level 4 requirements in the National Qualifications Framework of Vietnam.

The tasks of this profession are mainly carried out in workshops, factories, production, and business companies with favorable, safe, and sanitary working conditions that ensure health. The work intensity is not high but is under significant pressure concerning time service and the requirement to ensure diverse customer satisfaction.

To practice this profession, workers must be in good health, possess good professional ethics, and have sufficient specialized knowledge and vocational skills suitable to the job position. Additionally, continuous learning to improve foreign language communication skills, expand social knowledge; cultivating careful, detailed, and clear attitudes; and building professional awareness and passion are necessary.

Minimum knowledge volume: 1,580 hours (equivalent to 56 credits).
